  1. Only add 1/3 of the salt in the beginning of the cooking process. Salt intensifies the longer you cook a dish.
  2. Use low sodium vegetable or chicken stock.
  3. For pasta sauces with tomatoes, add 1/3 more tomatoes.
  4. For rubs and meat seasonings, replace 1/3 of the salt with lemon rind (approx qty).
  5. For liquid items use lemon juice and add to taste.
  6. Other alternatives are:

    • Cardamom
    • Basil
    • Garlic
    • Black Pepper
    • Onion Powder
