Ordering and Shipping

  • Starting in mid-December 2018, Healthy Meals Supreme will begin delivering in the Northeast region of the United States.

    Initial areas of service will include: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York (Eastern Region), Pennsylvania (Eastern Region), Rhode Island and Vermont. Following, the company will begin delivering to the West Coast and Midwest and thereafter to the rest of the country.

    We will ultimately deliver to most of the continental US, using overnight ground delivery services provided by Federal Express (FedEx®) or United Parcel Service (UPS®). Additional shipping charges may apply if outside the regional overnight ground shipping zones. Please check our web site or call our customer service team (888-422-6325) to confirm your delivery area if there is a question.

  • Most customers will receive their meals between 8am and 8pm on Thursday at their home or office and depending on the delivery zone.  The meals are carefully packed with ice packs in insulated boxes that are shipped from our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities every Wednesday.

  • You don’t need to be at home or to sign for a delivery.  As long as FedEx or UPS feels it is safe to leave your package, they will not require a signature.  Since FedEx or UPS takes the responsibility to ensure your package is delivered safely, the decision to require a signature or leave your package at your building’s management office is at your FedEx/UPS driver’s discretion.

  • All of your Healthy Meals Supreme meals are carefully packed with ice packs in insulated boxes which will keep your meals cold for 36-48 hours depending on the external temperatures.  We recommend that you unpack your box of meals when you receive them and place them in the refrigerator or freezer for the best shelf life.  All meals come with a Use By: date for reference.

  • Your freshly-prepared meals are delivered by the shipping experts, either FedEx or UPS, depending on your geographical location.  Our meals are shipped using Overnight Ground and Overnight Air-Saver Express service (additional fee) for next day delivery to our customers.

  • The ordering deadline is Friday at 6:00 pm Eastern Time (US).  This provides most people the time to receive their meals on the following Thursday and begin enjoying them.  You can order more of the meals you like or continue to receive the suggested assortment of meals for the week to enjoy the variety – it’s always your choice!

  • Glad you asked. Yes, you can customize and change meal plan selections.  However, our programs work well because the meals provide well-balanced nutrition according to published eating guidelines. If you change the meals, you would be changing the program, and possibly how well it works. That said, our chefs and kitchen do offer meal substitutions for allergic purposes which you can easily customize. Feel free to call us with any further questions on this matter.

  • You can view your order history after you log into your account. All of your past orders will be listed and you can even click “reorder” to place the same order.

Meals and Packaging

  • We have a team of experienced chefs that work with our culinary medicine specialists and registered dietitian to create mouthwatering and healthy recipes based on culinary medicine principles and with a sound nutritional foundation.

  • Yes, your box of meals will contain summary information to make sure you feel comfortable starting on the road to healthy eating success.  You’ll find a handy Quick Start guide, a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and your list of ordered meals.

  • Your meals are packed in containers that are microwave safe. The containers are not designed and not suggested for use in the oven. The containers are top-rack dishwasher safe and are recyclable to help protect our environment.

    “Microwave Safe” is the meal container manufacturer’s way of letting consumers know that a product has been designed to withstand microwave heat without melting or warping under normal use conditions and does not emit or break-down into toxic compounds.

  • Meal containers are made of polypropylene (PP) which are microwave-safe and are considered curb recyclable (#5).

  • Yes, the meal containers may be placed with your curbside recycling items.  

  • Yes, our innovative and unique vacuum-packing system allows for the removal of oxygen from within the package. This process inhibits food spoilage and adds greater security to the meal package.  Also, food dehydration from your refrigerator is reduced.

    All of our vacuum-pack material is BPA Free and safe for contact with food products.  This is the same type of food protection equipment that was used for the Space Shuttle meals.  

    Healthy Meals Supreme is the only national service providing freshly-prepared, home-delivered healthy meals to use this technology.  All Healthy Meals Supreme meals will retain their great taste and be maintained in a very hygienic and safe manner.

  • We take special care in preparing and packing all your meals to address your healthy eating needs.  However, we understand that some things happen beyond our control.

    If a meal package is damaged, has an opened seal or you feel it’s spoiled when you receive it, please follow these simple steps:  

    • Place the meal container in question to the side and do not eat it.  
    • Put the rest of your meals into the refrigerator or freezer.  
    • Take a photo of the meal container in question.
    • Call us at 888-422-6325 (MEAL) to report the issue or email our customer service person at customerservice@healthymealssupreme.com and attach the photo.
    • We will provide a meal replacement with your next order or a meal refund.
    • You will have our sincere gratitude for helping us to make things better for everyone.
  • Our healthy meals are designed to follow the published recommended nutrition guidelines for the relevant chronic condition as well as the Mediterranean or DASH diets.  They are NOT considered a medicine, food additive or even a medical food.

    As per the FDA website, accessed on May 30, 2018:

    The FDA does NOT approve cosmetics, dietary supplements, or food labels, including the Nutrition Facts panel.  Also, the FDA does NOT approve products such as meal replacements or diet shakes, or products for the management of diseases like diabetes, which can be managed through modification of the normal diet.

  • These meals are not endorsed by any association or organization.  However, our meals do follow the nutrition guidelines published by specific national associations as appropriate and as indicated.

  • All the Healthy Meals Supreme meals are prepared to order each week within our own kitchen facilities and not by a partner or outside manufacturer.

  • After the meals are prepared by our experienced team of chefs, the meals are immediately kept at strict refrigerator temperatures and NEVER frozen.  You can always be certain your meals are of the highest quality and superior taste possible.

  • Our innovative process and unique vacuum-pack system allows for the removal of oxygen from within the package and to minimize the exposure of foods to certain temperatures.  This process inhibits food spoilage and adds greater security to the meal package. Also, food dehydration from your refrigerator will be reduced.

Nutrition

  • Healthy Meals Supreme prepares its meals fresh every week according to the orders that are received by the order deadline, Fridays at 6 pm Eastern time.  We do not freeze any of our meals for future use.

  • You are in control. You can decide in what order to eat the meals, or you can follow the meal plan. The program’s nutritional values are averaged over a 7-day and 28-day period.

  • In the United States, US farmers widely use GMO seeds to produce five major agricultural crops that are commonly used for food ingredients: corn, soy, canola, cottonseed and sugar beet. Therefore, if a US food product contains ingredients that come from one or more of those five agricultural crops and is not labeled organic or labeled with information on non-GMO sourcing, it is likely to have ingredients from GMO crops.

    Whenever non-GMO food ingredients are specified, Healthy Meals Supreme’s non-GMO source standard adheres to sourcing non-GMO ingredients according to the original crop source. This means we rely primarily on traceability of ingredients through the supply chain back to a non-GMO crop.

  • While not certified organic, all Healthy Meals Supreme meals are created with high-quality ingredients. They are NOT prepared with additional nitrates, phosphates, other chemicals or additives, or the high sodium levels frequently found in frozen or other convenience meals. We eat our own cooking and firmly believe that if we won’t eat it or feel good about feeding it to our families, there is no way it will be allowed on the Healthy Meals Supreme menu!

  • We work with passionate and committed farmers and vendors nationwide who share our beliefs and love of land and wholesome food. All of us at Healthy Meals Supreme are committed to the highest levels of business practices to ensure a minimal impact on the environment.

  • Yes, that’s what we do! We specialize in meal programs that are Heart-Healthy, Diabetic-Friendly, Low Sodium and Potassium-restricted specialty diets designed to help you meet your nutritional goals.  You have the ability to see the nutritional values in the meals prior to purchasing them so you can be comfortable with your nutritional plan. It’s important to note that all our meals are prepared in our kitchens and using only ingredients from our kitchen. If you need assistance, our customer service team would be happy to assist you.

  • Yes, you can add extra seasoning. We do provide a light foundation of seasoning in our meals, however you may enjoy even more flavor or spice. Some ways to add an extra zest to your meals include using pepper, garlic, chives, thyme, or other herbs and spices. We do not recommend adding salt, though a salt substitute may be okay. Please check with your doctor or nutritionist first.

  • Simply try to eat something healthy. Remember that most foods and snacks have calories and they do add up. Some healthy choices are one cup of air popped popcorn that has 40-60 calories, one serving of fresh fruit which has 70-100 calories, one medium baked potato that has 80-120 calories, and half a cup of ice milk that has 100-150 calories.

  • If you are concerned about your weight during pregnancy, please consult your doctor. After giving birth, you may use Healthy Meals Supreme if approved by your healthcare professional. Nursing mothers may require special meal considerations and other precautions.  Please check with your doctor before starting any exercise or diet program.

  • Drinking liquid is very important, but it is more important that the liquid is water. Six to eight glasses a day would be a great start! Try to avoid coffee, soda and tea when possible. They contain extra calories and caffeine that you may not really need.  

  • Alcohol consumption is a personal choice. If you are used to having a drink with a meal or at a social occasion you don’t necessarily have to stop. Just keep in mind that alcohol does contain extra calories and may affect your metabolism. For most people, moderation is the key – One glass of beer, wine, or one ounce of alcohol.  It’s always best to check with your healthcare professional before starting or changing any diet or exercise program.

  • Yes! Fruits and vegetables are a great idea to add to your meals or eat as snacks. Just be aware that you are adding calories and carbohydrates to your system. If you have a medical condition, it is recommended to talk with your healthcare professional before changing any diet or exercise program.   

  • Weight loss is a very personal thing. We don’t guarantee any definite weight loss, because it is up to you. Some people find that they will shed pounds quickly, and others will notice that they will lose inches first. Ultimately, weight loss is a function of how many calories you take in and how many you burn up. We are here to help, but the power is in your hands.

  • Our program is low in fat, sugar, cholesterol, and sodium and therefore works well for people with various health conditions who want to follow the respective published nutritional guidelines. We always suggest that you consult your doctor or nutritionist before starting any diet or exercise program.

  • Yes! The program is also good for professionals on the run, people who are stressed, and anyone who just simply wants to eat healthy.

Payment, Returns and Gifts

  • Since the food in the program is perishable we cannot accept returns for any reason. This is for the safety of all of our customers. Once your order has been picked up by FedEx or UPS, we cannot cancel the shipment or turn it around in transit. Please contact our customer service team with any questions because we want you to be 100% satisfied with your meals and our service at all times.  

  • Refunds are managed by our customer service team if items are damaged in transit. Meal refunds are not available based on the taste of the meal because everyone has different taste preferences. Please contact our customer service team so we can help you with any questions.

  • Yes, you are able to give the gift of healthy eating to your family, friends and loved ones with Healthy Meals Supreme gift certificates.  HMS gift certificates are available in many amounts and make the perfect holiday, birthday and “thinking about you!” gift. Please contact our Customer Service team to quickly assist you.

  • We do not have a payment plan.

  • We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Amazon Pay and PayPal.

  • We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Amazon Pay and PayPal.

    We don’t accept payments through checks and other third-party services like Google Wallet, ApplePay or prepaid cards just yet.  

  • At the moment, only one card can be used on one transaction. 

  • Yes, you can pre-order your weekly meals in advance or contact our customer service team.  They will be happy to assist you in setting up a recurring order of your favorite Healthy Meals Supreme meals on a schedule that works best for you. If you would like the flexibility of placing a recurring order weekly, and selecting different meals each week, you can do this on our website or by calling us at 888-422-6325 (MEAL).

  • No, it’s that simple and easy! We are committed to helping people live better quality and healthier lives through better nutrition. We don’t believe in placing obstacles between accessing our healthy meals and our customers’ health and well-being.
